WHAT MAKES OUR ORGANIC TOMATO SOUP HEALTHY?

Tomato soup is a classic in many different cultures. At Sapje, however, we wanted to make an extra pure, natural, fresh and above all healthy organic tomato soup. That’s why the recipe consists of the best local and seasonal ingredients, all of which are known for their high nutritional value. Our organic tomato soup with fresh tomatoes, carrot, celery, oregano and garlic and a dash of extra virgin olive oil contains several nutrients that have a positive influence on your immune system, such as beta-carotene (provitamin A) and copper. The ingredients in this soup also provide you with a good amount and variety of antioxidants. These are substances that help your body protect against free radicals. Tomato and celery, for example, are both a good source of the antioxidant vitamin C, and the extra virgin olive oil provides a lot of vitamin E. Garlic also contains various antioxidants, including the mineral copper. If you look at the overview of the nutrients in our organic tomato soup, you will also see that vitamin B6 and the minerals manganese and potassium are also well represented. Vitamin B6 is beneficial for your mood, memory and concentration. Manganese supports your energy levels and helps keep your bones strong. Potassium is good for your blood pressure and also ensures the proper functioning of your muscles and nerves.
