The plant is native to Mediterranean countries in southern Europe and North Africa. That this herb has been valued since ancient times is evident from the Latin verb &#8220;salvare&#8221; (translated: to save) from which sage, also called Salvia officinalis, can be derived.   <\/span>\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 25px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/div>\n<h2><b>What substances are in sage?<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> <\/span><\/h2>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sage contains vitamin B11 (folic acid), vitamin K, calcium and iron. So it can certainly be called a healthy seasoning. <\/span>\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 25px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/div>\n<h3><b>What does this mean for my health?  <\/b><\/h3>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The vitamins and minerals in sage contribute to various processes in your body.
