He created a furor with the Ron Blaauw restaurant in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, which received its first Michelin star in 2004 and its second in 2006. In 2011, Blaauw moved his kitchen to Amsterdam, only to change course in March 2013. Blaauw closed the starred restaurant and opened Ron Gastrobar at the same location a few days later.

Ron Gastrobar serves creative dishes of high quality, but with an affordable price of 15 euros. Soon this new restaurant also received its first Michelin star in 2013. This concept expanded in 2015 with the opening of Ron Gastrobar Oriental: Authentic Oriental dishes – all following the same formula of Ron Gastrobar. In April 2016, Ron Gastrobar Indonesia will open in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, where its culinary story once began.

In addition, Ron supports various restaurants with culinary advice. For example, he is responsible for the quality of the culinary part of Bridges at hotel The Grand in Amsterdam, Pasta è Basta in Amsterdam, Central Park in Voorburg and Bistrobar Berlin in Nijmegen.

“Ron Blaauw: It should always be a celebration for our guests to come and eat and drink with us.”

SEASONS JUICE

Ron Blaauw previously developed a juice with us in June 2015 called Seasons. That was our very first juice inspired by a well-known Chef. Since then we have developed unique seasonal juices with multiple Chefs.
Ron favorite ingredients were represented in the Seasons juice: Coeur de boef tomato, red pointed bell pepper, carrot, watermelon, cucumber, fennel, apple, lemon, sage & piment d’espelette.

With super pride we are launching with one of the Netherlands’ most famous Michelin star chefs Ron Blaauw his own vegetable juice called (how could it be otherwise), Rons Sapje.
