Wild buckthorn berry

The sea buckthorn berry is a bright orange berry derived from the sea buckthorn. This shrub grows in dune areas in Western Europe and Asia. In traditional Chinese herbal teachings, the berry was already used a thousand years ago. The berry also has a long history in Russia and Mongolia. Sea buckthorn fruits contain a lot of yellow-like oil; they are called the olives of the north. These beautiful berries grow wild and you can pick them in the Netherlands mainly at the dune areas. Their sour and fresh taste makes them a delight for your taste buds.

What nutrients are in it?

There is an awful lot of vitamin C in sea buckthorn berry. There is 10 to 20 times more vitamin C in a the sea buckthorn berry than an orange. In addition, the berries are also packed with vitamins E and K.
