Tulsi

Tulsi, also called the sacred basil, is a plant that holds an important place within Hinduism and Ayurveda (a type of healthy lifestyle and healing system). Tulsi leaves are therefore recommended within these movements. We explain to you more about Tulsi.

What is tulsi?

Tulsi is a straight up growing shrub with many branches. The stems are hairy and bear green or purple serrated oval leaves. These leaves are very aromatic and are widely used, especially in Thailand, as a flavoring in dishes. In addition, they are perfect for making a delicious tea. Tulsi blooms with light purple flowers that grow in spikelets.

Why do we use Tulsi?

Tulsi has a strong aromatic flavor. It is slightly sweet and spicy. Very specific, but very tasty (even if we say so ourselves). This holy basil provides a moment for yourself. It lets you relax for a while through the hustle and bustle of work. So a flavorful and soothing herb.
