A recent large study showed that we should actually eat between 500 and 800 grams of vegetables per day for optimal health (11). At this amount, our risk of disease is lowest. Unfortunately, few achieve this. As far as I am concerned, therefore, any form in which fruits and vegetables enter the body is welcome. In addition to eating fruits and vegetables, it is fine to consume a juice or a smoothie for variety. Read the full article here
