Yacon

Yacon This carrot is somewhat less well known than we would actually like. In fact, it is extremely delicious. For those who do not know it: the yacon (or also called apple carrot). This root vegetable comes from the Andes and looks like a large potato tuber. Its taste is juicy and sweet and is similar to an apple. This therefore explains the name “apple root. You can eat it well raw or bake or cook it. For example, the yacon is delicious as a fresh addition to salads or in a curry.

Why we use Yacon

This natural sweetener makes our dishes just a little more delicious. It adds a sweet touch to our meals without using sugar. Ideal for eating something different from the usual potatoes. We also like to use the yacon in our juices and shots.
