Romaine lettuce, also known as romaine lettuce, is originally from southern European countries. Nowadays you can also just obtain it in Dutch supermarkets.

Especially the mini variety of romaine lettuce is becoming more and more popular. They are also called “little gems” and are very convenient to use and taste sweeter. They contain healthy nutrients such as beta-carotene (vitamin A) and folic acid.

What substances are in this?

Romaine lettuce is a good source of vitamins A, B11 and K. This bitter-tasting leafy vegetable also contains a nice amount of fiber. A handful (100 grams) of romaine lettuce provides you with 2.1 grams of fiber. It is recommended to eat about 30 to 40 grams of fiber per day. So romaine lettuce can make a good contribution to this.
