Elderflower

The elder(Sambucus nigra) is a plant that has been used by humans since the beginning of time. Hippocrates already knew the elder. This is because of the plant’s special properties. Properties of the elder

The elder is a beautiful large shrub that flowers abundantly with small white flowers from May to July. The shrub is commonly found in the Netherlands along paths and fields and in parks. In autumn, the flowers grow into small black berries: elderberries. These are somewhat more bitter in taste than the blossoms of the elder.

Why do we use elderflower?
