Lime
Lime is wonderfully refreshing, especially on a hot day. Did you already know that the citrus fruit comes from the vine fruit family (Rutaceae)? Originally, the lime comes from Southeast Asia. Here the fruit can ripen in all the warmth. Limes grow on trees that are about 6 to 7 meters tall. These trees can only grow in warm climates. Another fun fact is that limes have a pH of 2.0. This means they are very alkaline (not acidic!), which is often not claimed. Enough facts about the lime. What healthy properties does a lime actually have for you?
