Wild foxberry

Foxberries are also called red currants and are close relatives of the much better known blueberries. The berries are very popular with foxes, to which they therefore owe their name. You find the berries mainly in the cuisines of northern and eastern European countries. Foxberries have a tart, sour taste, which is caused by the high content of fruit acids in the berry. Because of this, the berries are usually further processed into jams or juices, for example.

What makes these berries so healthy?

Foxberries are high in vitamin C and are a good source of fiber.

Why do we use wild foxberries?

We like to use wild foxberries in our juices. The berries provide you with a nice amount of vitamin C and provide a nice fresh sour taste. Because the berries grow in the wild, they ripen better than when grown. Thus, not only does the taste come out better, so do the healthy substances in the blueberry.
