Carobe

Carobe, also called carob, is a natural sweet pod derived from the carob tree, which grows mainly in the Mediterranean region. The ground pods are often used as an alternative to cocoa, but carob has its own unique flavor and special nutritional value.

What nutrients are in it?

Carobe is naturally caffeine-free and contains no theobromine, making it a mild and soothing alternative to cocoa. The pods are rich in fiber and contain a wide range of minerals, including calcium, magnesium, potassium and iron. In addition, carob provides vitamins A, B2, B3 and D, and is a natural source of antioxidants that help protect cells from free radicals.

The natural sugars in carobe create a smooth, caramel taste, without the use of refined sugars. This makes carobe not only delicious, but also kind to the body.

What does this mean for my health?

Thanks to its high fiber content, carob supports healthy digestion and helps stabilize blood sugar levels. The antioxidants and minerals present contribute to a strong immune system, healthy bones and good energy levels. Because carobe does not contain stimulants such as caffeine, it is also suitable for people who are sensitive to cocoa or prefer something milder in the evening.

Why do we use carob?

We use carobe for its natural sweetness, soft chocolate tone and nutritious properties. It fits perfectly within our vision of pure, plant-based ingredients that energize without burdening. Carobe gives our juices and dishes a warm, full flavor and subtle sweetness.
