Want to do a juice cleanse? Then do so at Sapje. What a great little company that is. They make everything themselves, put everything together themselves and work with purely organic products. Really organic. Also, they recycle everything. So you have to keep the glass bottles afterwards, because they collect them again. The juices are all in season and they are delicious. Not insignificantly. Every juice tastes great! Pretty nice when you drink so many juices. In addition, Sapje is very personal. Sapje comes by personally to get acquainted and to explain. During the detox they are there for you to give advice. The cleanse is not very expensive for what you get and the quality is high. Highly recommended!

Every morning everything is delivered fresh from local organic farmers. As soon as the vegetables are picked they come directly to us. In the juice lab, everything is immediately washed and cut and prepared cold-pressed so that all the nutrients are preserved. Every season we create new recipes because we only work with seasonal produce. If you were to drink all of our juices, you would get 70 to 90 vegetables per month. We turn each juice into a work of art: smell, color, taste and nuances, everything has to be right and balanced.

Wow, I think this is the first time I have actually made my own I Love Health product. Maybe this is secretly a dream of mine; healthy products with an I Love Health label on them. And this collaboration with slowjuice brand Sap.je is a great start to that. Sap.je has a new seasonal juice every few months, and collaborates with a well-known chef for this. For example, Ron Blauw preceded me. Now I don’t want to put myself in the same box as Ron … but Sap.je thought I Love Health was at least cool enough to have its own juice. Proud as a peacock I am, you get the picture.

I was given the opportunity to market my own juice, formulated with pure and organic seasonal ingredients, as much as possible from Dutch soil.

A detox cure always sounds pretty dull and heavy, but the bottles from Sap.je have nice looks, come in nice packaging and everything is done to perfection. Makes it all a lot nicer and in advance easier anyway. I found it really quite doable.” Okay, and Daan is right. Her skin is glowing, she looks good and since my vacation is still three weeks away I am now very much infected with the Sap.je virus.

I don’t know what possessed me when I sent an email to Sap.je a few weeks ago. I ‘suddenly’ felt like doing a detox with juices! This time I am doing that detox together with Sap.je, the juice makers with the cutest and most original url for their website. Besides the fact that Joël & Rosalynn of Sapje make juices for consumers and detox cleanses, they also make juices for hospitality, Ron Blaauw, Visaandeschelde and Baut in Amsterdam are already fans of the juices. That drinking a freshly squeezed fruit juice every day is healthy for you is no secret. Yet I get to work with the slow juicer much less than I would like. It remains an irritating chore of a few minutes to clean the thing properly, and I’d rather be lazy than tired in the morning. Fortunately, there are now numerous companies that provide fresh slow juiced juices. One that stands head and shoulders above them in my opinion? Sapje.

Never before have I done a detox, detoxing, the term alone gave me goose bumps. Despite that, I am always eager to try everything myself, especially since I do believe that a detox can strengthen your immune system, by tackling all the toxins we ingest on a daily basis. Since Sapje’s detox lasts “only” three days, this seemed perfect to me.

All hail Sapje because they not only have the most delicious raw and organic juices they produce everything slow, and deliver it fresh and tres rapido. I can still remember the day I had my Sapje deflowering like yesterday. One of my dearest former colleagues brought some for me. Hooked I was, totally hooked. And the fact is, my juicer isn’t juicing as much as it used to. Sapje is a godsend. I really don’t have a favorite either. I love all flavors equall. But a huge hot spot I do have for the newest flavor that I was secretly allowed to taste already.
