Blood orange

The blood orange may not be as popular as the oranges we normally see in the supermarket. It is fresh-sweet to sweet in taste and knows its name because of its red flesh. Some people even say the orange bleeds when you cut it open. There are two varieties of blood oranges. One is most like the oranges we know, only with (slightly) red-colored flesh. The other variety is entirely red (the peel and flesh). This is also called “full blood.

What good substances does this orange contain?
