Goji berries

In China, goji berries have been known as a highly medicinal fruit for centuries. Although the berries are small in size, their nutritional value is exceptionally high.

Goji berries contain up to five hundred times more vitamin C than oranges and are also a rich source of beta-carotene and vitamins B1, B2, B6 and E. They provide more than twenty different minerals, including zinc, selenium, copper, phosphorus, calcium and iron, and also contain eighteen essential amino acids such as tryptophan and isoleucine.

Thanks to their high concentration of antioxidants and niacin, goji berries are considered a powerful ally in preventing certain cancers and cardiovascular diseases. The antioxidants also help strengthen the immune system, lower cholesterol and inhibit premature aging.

Also, goji berries are rich in vitamin A, a vital nutrient for good vision and healthy skin.
