Pineapple

Pineapple (Ananas comosus) is a tropical plant native to Brazil, Bolivia and Paraguay. The species belongs to the bromeliad family (Bromelia family). Pineapple is a word from Tupi, the language of the Tupi Indians, and means outstanding fruit. The fruit has a very sweet taste and brings many health benefits.

What substances are in this fruit?

Pineapple is very rich in vitamin C. Per 100 grams, it contains as much as 43 mg of this vitamin. This is even more than lemon juice. In addition, pineapple provides you with a nice serving of fiber.
