Red cabbage

It is one of the oldest types of cabbage: the red cabbage. Its purple-red color is caused by a natural dye called “anthocyanin. Red cabbage belongs to the closing cabbages, just like white cabbage, pointed cabbage and savoy cabbage. These types of cabbage are characterized by a closed head.
