Tamari
Tamari is a traditional Japanese soy sauce obtained from the fermentation of soybeans. Unlike regular soy sauce, tamari contains little to no wheat, making it often gluten-free and suitable for people with gluten sensitivities.
Tamari has a rich, full umami flavor and is less salty than many standard soy sauces. This makes it ideal for use in marinades, dressings, wok dishes, dips or simply as a topping for rice, vegetables and sushi.
Besides the flavor benefits, tamari also provides nutrients from fermented soybeans, such as plant proteins, minerals and probiotic components that can support digestion.
In short, tamari is a healthy, flavorful and versatile soy sauce that gives dishes a deep, savory umami flavor while remaining suitable for a gluten-free diet.
