Raw honey

Raw Manuka honey comes from bees collecting nectar from the Manuka, a shrub species found in New Zealand and Australia.

‘Raw honey’ means that the honey has been left unprocessed and unheated, retaining all of its natural nutrients. In addition to natural sugars, this honey also contains numerous essential minerals (such as manganese, iron, phosphorus and copper), B vitamins, enzymes, amino acids, proteins, organic fatty acids, carbohydrates, phytonutrients and antioxidants.

The rich package of nutrients makes honey a nutritious product and a powerful natural sweetener. Moreover, burning the natural honey sugars requires substances already present in the honey itself. As a result, your body does not need to draw on its own reserves, which helps keep the energy system in balance.

The main antibacterial and antibiotic substance in honey is methylglyoxal (MGO). This substance is found in all honeys, but Manuka honey contains the highest concentration, which explains its unique action. In addition, this honey contains many probiotics, which support intestinal flora.

Raw Manuka honey is among the darkest honeys; the darker the honey, the higher the concentration of nutrients.

Thanks to its composition, Manuka honey has antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties. It strengthens the immune system, helping to fight allergies and infections and promote wound healing.
